DESCRIPTION:
1,500 watt DC Clipper for Wind or Hydro designed to work with the MidNite Classic. The Clipper comes in different resistance values per phase to allow you to tailor it to your specific turbine.
Please call Tech Support to verify your particular needs before ordering a Clipper from the Turbine Matrix as each system is different.
Generally speaking if your turbine has larger than a 6 foot rotor diameter and or is rated for 1KW or more you may need the 4KW clipper. Please consult tech support

The MidNite Clipper is designed to control Wind or Hydro turbines and work with the Classic to charge your battery. The Clipper communicates with the Classic to slow the turbine when the batteries are full, and also contains a standalone self-powered adjustable max VOC limiting circuit. The DC Clipper is designed to work with DC turbines and was designed for up to 1.5kw maximum turbines. The 1.5K DC Clipper comes standard with 2.4 ohms of resistance.
The 1,500 watt DC Clipper comes in the standard value of 2.4 ohms per phase (3 resistors 0.8ohms in series).
