DESCRIPTION:
4,000 watt DC Clipper for wind or Hydro designed to work with the MidNite Classic. The Clipper comes in different resistance values to allow you to tailor it to your specific turbine.
Please call Tech Support to verify your particular needs before ordering a Clipper from the Turbine Matrix as each system is different.
Generally speaking if your turbine has larger than a 10 foot rotor diameter and or is rated for 2.5KW or more you may need more than one clipper. Please consult tech support

The MidNite Clipper is designed to control Wind or Hydro turbines and work with the Classic to charge your battery. The Clipper communicates with the Classic to slow the turbine when the batteries are full, and also contains a stand alone self powered adjustable max VOC limiting circuit. The DC Clipper is designed to work with DC turbines and was designed for 3-4kw maximum turbines. The DC Clipper comes standard with 3.0 ohms of resistance per phase. We can custom build other resistance values upon request and have designed an easy to change resistor insert for the Clipper allowing changes in the field.
The 4,000 watt DC Clipper comes in several different resistance values. The standard values available are 3.0, 4.8 and 12ohms. Please add the value to the part number (For Example MNCLIP4KDC4.8) Please contact Customer service for help picking the correct resistance or if you need a value not listed.
