KIM SILVA
Then one day Kim disappeared. We could not find her. There were rumors of cancer, but nobody had heard from her? Two years later I received an unexpected call from Kim at my house. Her exact words were “Robin, I need a job”. This was great. Kim was evidently back in the game and we had nothing resembling a sales person at MidNite. Kim worked out of her house in California. She helped out with customer support, sales related information and just generally helped out where we needed her. For the next few years Kim made numerous trips up to MidNite to keep up on what we were doing. She always stayed at our house. When Kim wasn’t working on MidNite stuff, she spent her time with her two daughters and ferrying them and her 5 horses to Rodeos every weekend. She loved teaching all the young girls on the rodeo circuit what she knew about horses and how to handle them. This was Kim’s main passion. Kim’s other passion was as a sales person. I was always amazed to watch Kim at shows like SPI or Intersolar. She would be talking to a dealer and she just wasn’t going to let them go until she had convinced them to buy some MidNite product. It may not have been the product that they wanted, but those details didn’t slow her from trying to make a sale. Those of you that had the opportunity to talk to Kim over the past few years know that she was going to try to sell you something. Kim will be sorely missed here, but never forgotten. She was a very special lady indeed and we will have her memories with us for forever.
