Ryan and Michelle own and operate Alternative Energy Systems of Maine. They install all forms of renewable energy everything from solar hot water to wind power. They have a home built 10 foot wind turbine rated at 1000 watts that Ryan made himself based on plans from Otherpower. Their solar array consists of 12 Shell 165 watt panels and they use a Magnum Energy sine wave inverter installed on a Midnite Solar E-panel. They have lived off grid for 5 years on a small self-built homestead in central Maine. Ryan has been a licensed electrician for over 20 years and been in the renewable energy business for over 5 years. They enjoy educating others on ways to reduce utility bills as well as preserving the planet for our children.
